I received fantastic news this week that the Cross-Fire animation has been shortlisted for the Vimeo Awards in NYC. If, that’s a massive if, I become a finalist from my category I will be in the running for the grand prize. Even if this does happen to be considered from 6500 entires is an unbelievable honour. I am under the experimental category and the other entries are amazing. Also the the judges for this section are David Lynch, Neville Brody and Charlie Whyte… need I say more.

Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the Saint-Etienne International Design Biennial as I will be in America however the line-up for Prediction, curated by Benjamin Loyauté, looks excellent and I’m very proud that my work has been selected for this exhibition.
When I was creating the Cross-Fire body of work I never thought it would have appealed to as many different disciplines. The commission through PPFCP and funded by the AHRC was in all intended purposes was grounded within the context of Craft. The ‘sequel’ to Cross-Fire is currently in the making however will focus on the subtlety of the emotional expression and will be a lot darker in nature.
