The finished piece once will be installed into Aberdeen Art Gallery for a short period prior to the awards ceremony held at the Aberdeen Music Hall. The piece will consist of 21 segments in a 3 x 7 grid. Though the foundation of the piece will be the fractals and spectrums' of a wave, I am in the process of developing the how the water changes through differing impacts i.e. animals, rain, submerged objects.
The material I have chosen is commonly used for industrial machining. The properties give a 'wet look' when finished.
I am currently working on a series of 16 awards for the upcoming A&B Scotland Award ceremony. The piece will play on the geographic location of the event, Aberdeen. The installation will consist of a 4 x 4 grid of wave sections.
This is a sample outcome of my research into materialising the interaction between rain and sheet water. The plan for this piece is to develop how water reacts to differing deformers.
